Veterinary Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a medical procedure that enables us to look at the gastrointestinal tract using a thin, flexible tube with a tiny camera at the tip.   Within the tube is a channel that allows the passage of a variety of diagnostic instruments for examination and biopsy.

Veterinary Endoscopy allows definitive evaluation of the lining of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. Small samples of these areas can be taken and then analyzed by a histopathologist.

We find our endoscope a very useful tool in determining the condition of your pets gastrointestinal tract. We also use narrow gauge tubes with cameras to examine the nasal cavity, trachea and bronchi and external ear canal.
